My plan is starting to get yellow leaves. What does that mean?

Wow! I have had mine for about 3 years now and it has not bloomed yet! It is growing well! Mine get's plenty of light so I'm still waiting!!!!

I bought a Orchid at Safeway it looked healthy. But when I took it out of the pot it was completely root rotted . I noticed that they had used moss and probably weren't aware of it. The moss was so saturated probably from being over watered that it could not be saved.

Mealy bugs are better than thrips. My 3 Thai and albo all got them. One plant most of the leaves are damage. 😭

Sometimes it's a pain to re-pot, but it's so satisfying to see our plants freshly re-potted in new larger pots. :)

I never knew what Thrips were either. Then the other day I was in bed browsing Facebook and someone showed a picture of them, and I realized there were thrips on the green onions I was growing from the store. I initially ignored them thinking they were just fruit flies or gnats. I jumped out of bed so fast, grabbed a trash bag and threw the whole thing, green onions and potting container away. Thank goodness, no other plants seems affected.

You can use rooting hormone.

I have that plant, the pill is so hard second only to coconut, very hard to peel and the taste is bland, that plant grows beautiful but the fruit I don't care for.

I have 1 I rooted from a bush big white blooms Mines a tree 8 ft tall 7 yrs old Never seeds out

Pretty flowers! The little white one you called Balloonflower is so cute- I love it. We're sweltering at 104° Fahrenheit today🥵. I've been wanting to plant more flowers but I'm not sure they'd make it in this heat. Im recovering from a major surgery so missed the opportunity when it was a little cooler a few weeks ago. Your flower beds look wonderful. I love your little concrete basket!

Most commercial succulent soils do not have enough drainage material in them. I alway used to add more perlite to them when I used the commercially prepared succulent/cactus soil. Now I make my own mixture. Of course, some succulents need more drainage than others. I hope your Jade is doing well. Hopefully the terracotta pot has helped it quite a bit.

I think this is what a friend just gave me 2 cuttings. Mine is supposed to be red flowers. It's been about a month and it's showing signs of new growth 😊

I planted a Phlox Candy Stripes too, just a week or two ago! Mine was in a smaller pot than yours. They're so cute! Candytuft is one of my favorite plants, I make sure to replace any that start looking weak each spring, I just love them. The yellow flowering plant I'm not familiar with, but I'll be looking it up as I'm partial to yellow. The Lewisia is so cute! I need that one too 🙈😂!

You mentioned taking the dry leaves and soaking them in water and then drying them on a paper towel. What is the purpose/reason for doing this?

So when it blooms do I cut it and plant it or just leave it alone?

Infantile scale looks like little white dashes, then they turn into brown crispy dots, I could see some babies on the plant.

No, no I would have trimmed those roots! Those roots were way too long for the size pot you planted them in. Eventually you will have to repot them all over again because they will become root bound again in a short time. It will not hurt the plants if you trim the roots to about an inch and a half, It will promote better root growth...

I love Geraniums! When I start to see them in the stores in late winter I get excited because I know that means spring is on the way ❤️. I always overwinter mine inside, but lost most of them last summer in our extreme heat wave we had. I only have 3 small ones left. So I'm ready to get some more!

It’s clear that the root system is way too small for the original pot. From what I’ve learned cactus love to be tight and root bound. If the pot is too big the water may not properly get to the root system even if it looks like it’s been watered. I’ve actually noticed this with most plants.
